VIDEO: Tulsa Oklahoma Black Wall Street Destroyed by Domestic Terrorists 94 Years Ago Today
The Tulsa race riot was a large-scale, racially motivated conflict on May 31 and June 1, 1921, in which a group of white people attacked the black community of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It resulted in the Greenwood District, also known as 'the Black Wall Street' and the wealthiest black community in the United States, being burned to the ground.
During the 16 hours of the assault, more than 800 people were admitted to local white hospitals with injuries (the two black hospitals were burned down), and police arrested and detained more than 6,000 black Greenwood residents at three local facilities. An estimated 10,000 blacks were left homeless, and 35 city blocks composed of 1,256 residences were destroyed by fire. The official count of the dead by the Oklahoma Department of Vital Statistics was 39, but other estimates of black fatalities varied from 55 to about 300.
The events of the riot were long omitted from local and state histories. "The Tulsa race riot of 1921 was rarely mentioned in history books, classrooms or even in private. Blacks and whites alike grew into middle age unaware of what had taken place."[3] With the number of survivors declining, in 1996, the state legislature commissioned a report to establish the historical record of the events, and acknowledge the victims and damages to the black community. Released in 2001, the report included the commission's recommendations for some compensatory actions, most of which were not implemented by the state and city governments. The state has passed legislation to establish some scholarships for descendants of survivors, economic development of Greenwood, and a memorial park to the victims in Tulsa. The latter was dedicated in 2010.

"We are not doing it because the people in Washington — too many of the people in Washington — do not represent the folks who elected them. President Obama Restricts Military Gear to Police
"We've seen how militarized gear can sometimes give people the feeling like there's an occupying force as opposed to a force that's part of the community," the president said to applause. "We're going to prohibit some equipment made for the battlefield that is not appropriate for local police departments."
VIDEO: Biker gang war between the Bandidos, Cossacks and Scimitarsin in Waco,Texas ends with nine dead and up to 18 injured. Law enforcement also engage in firefight.
Police say at least 5 biker gangs were involved in a bloody shootout with each other and police in the parking lot of a Waco, Texas restaurant on Sunday that left at least 9 dead and 18 wounded.
The biker gangs haven’t been publicly identified, but photos and video from the scene show the bikers “flying their colors.” Three gangs have been observed there, the Cossacks Motorcycle Club, the Scimitars Motorcycle Club and the Bandidos Motorcycle Club.
Law enforcement sources told the Waco Tribune that the Cossacks and the Bandidos were at the center of the incident.
Photos also show members of the Leathernecks, Veterans and Los Pirados, though it wasn’t immediately clear which, if any, of the other clubs they are affiliated with. The website United Clubs of Waco shows those three clubs as being affiliated with the Bandidos.
The Scimitars could be seen among the Cossacks during the aftermath of the shooting.

Video Shows North Carolina Cop Shooting Suspect in the Back as He Ran Away, Revealing Omissions in Official Account by Police
In the predawn hours of January 24, 2013, a police officer in Fayetteville, North Carolina, shot and killed a 22-year-old resident named Nijza Lamar Hagans, who had been pulled over for running a red light and making “several furtive driving maneuvers such as darting onto a neighborhood street and into a driveway,” according to a memo by Cumberland County’s district attorney, Billy West. The police officer, Aaron Hunt, then 24, claimed that, peering into the SUV Hagans was driving, he saw Hagans reach aggressively for a gun in his pants pocket as he opened his car door. “Officer Hunt fired his weapon after observing Mr. Hagans reaching for the gun and exiting the vehicle and turning toward Officer Hunt,” wrote West in his memo (embedded below), which concluded that Hunt’s response was “lawful and measured.” Yet the report absolving Hunt, who is Native American and is still a police officer in Fayetteville, did not mention the existence of video from the dashboard camera in Hunt’s cruiser, which shows a more troubling unfolding of events. The footage — which the city has withheld from public release but was provided to The Intercept by a source who requested anonymity — shows Officer Hunt shooting at Hagans a split-second after Hagans begins thrusting open his car door and while Hagans is still largely in his vehicle. Hunt shoots at Hagans, who is black, twice more as he exits the vehicle. The video then shows Hagans running away from Officer Hunt, who, instead of pursuing him, shoots at Hagans twice as he flees. Just after these final shots, Hagans stumbles to the ground where he died. Read more here...

VIDEO: University of Nevada student Ivy Ziedrich tells Jeb Bush "Your brother created ISIS"
A college student told likely GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush on Wednesday that his brother, former President George W. Bush, was to blame for the rise of the Islamic State.
The heated confrontation took place at a town hall meeting in Reno, Nevada, according to The New York Times. Ivy Ziedrich, 19, a student at the University of Nevada, approached the former Florida governor to question him about comments he had made during the event. Bush had argued that the Obama administration's weak foreign policy was responsible for the rise of the terrorist group, also known as ISIS, in the Middle East.
Ziedrich countered that Obama wasn't to blame -- and that it was his predecessor's decision to disband the Iraqi army that made the group's formation possible.
"Your brother created ISIS," she told Bush.

“I’m trained to recognize crime, I know what I recognized that day, they asked me about it, I spoke up about it,” Detective Charron Walters said. “They asked me specifically who did you see take the items, and I had to tell them who I saw take the lights.”
Since, reporting the allegations to the Office of Professional Standards, Walters says she has faced backlash, has been transferred four times and is now off the streets on a desk job, filling open records requests.

VIDEO: San Francisco Police Under Investigation for Blatantly Racist Texts
FOX10 News | WALA
An independent task force, including three retired judges, has launched an investigation into San Francisco’s police department after the discovery of racist text messages sent between 14 officers.
An independent task force, including three retired judges, has launched an investigation into San Francisco’s police department after the discovery of racist text messages sent between 14 officers.
“When a police officer engages in misconduct, there are significant implications for public safety and for the public trust, particularly in our minority communities,” District Attorney Gordon Gascon said in a press conference yesterday announcing the probe. “And we must do everything that we can to restore that trust.”
The results of the investigation, meant to determine whether there was a “deeper culture of bias” in the department, could invalidate many of the 3,000 cases the officers worked on in the past decade. According to CNN, African-Americans comprise only 5% of San Francisco’s population, but nearly half of the city’s prison population.

VIDEO: Seymour Hersh Details Explosive Story on Bin Laden Killing & Responds to White House, Media Backlash
Four years after U.S. forces assassinated Osama bin Laden, Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Seymour Hersh has published an explosive piece claiming much of what the Obama administration said about the attack was wrong. Hersh claims at the time of the U.S. raid, bin Laden had been held as a prisoner by Pakistani intelligence since 2006. Top Pakistani military leaders knew about the operation and provided key assistance. Contrary to U.S. claims that it located bin Laden by tracking his courier, a former Pakistani intelligence officer identified bin Laden’s whereabouts in return for the bulk of a $25 million U.S. bounty. Questions are also raised about whether bin Laden was actually buried at sea, as the U.S. claimed. Hersh says instead the Navy SEALs threw parts of bin Laden’s body into the Hindu Kush mountains from their helicopter. The White House claims the piece is "riddled with inaccuracies." Hersh joins us to lay out his findings and respond to criticism from government officials and media colleagues.
